What the Launch Kit is
The Book Launch Kit is a one-time add-on to the Pro plan: $30 (or €30). One kit is for one book, and it stays with that book for good. Buy it at beyourcover.com/launch-kit.
The kit builds from your finished cover: one you made here, or one you uploaded to the External Cover Studio. It runs on the same engine as the Enterprise marketing kit, in a version for authors.
The Launch Kit is for your own books and pen names. To launch books for other authors or clients, use an Enterprise plan. See What is Enterprise only.

What a kit includes
Each kit makes, for one book:
- 23 channel-sized images:
- Social (6): a feed ad, a story, a mockup post and story, and a tropes post and story.
- Launch moments (6): a cover reveal, a preorder post, a launch day post and story, and 2 quote graphics.
- Email and web (3): a newsletter header, a website hero and a link preview.
- Amazon A+ (5): five A+ Content modules for your product page.
- Mockups (3): three AI mockups of your book.
- 4 copy documents: the Amazon listing kit, the ads kit, social copy and a launch calendar. The launch calendar needs a launch date: without one, Generate kit skips it. The price and the buy link go into the copy documents.
- Your launch details on the images: the dates, the tagline, quotes and two calls to action come from your launch notes. The kit reads the title, the author, the dates and the calls to action back from the images, and marks a tile Check text when a line does not match.
- A brand kit: a palette, fonts, mood words and a logo. It can apply to this book, to a series, or to all your books.
- More like this: a new take of any image. Every take is kept.
- A zip download, sorted by channel.
- The first run, then 35 regenerations, once. See Regenerations and credits.
- One print wrap render, one audiobook cover and one text-free cover, once per kit.
Buying a kit
The kit is for Pro accounts. The Launch Kit page is public, so you can read it while signed out. To buy, sign in first: the kit builds from a cover on your account. If you are not on Pro yet, the page asks you to get Pro first.
You can buy a kit in two ways:
- From a book. Use the Book Launch Kit item at the end of a cover's More menu, the Launch Kit card in the External Cover Studio, or the kit page of a book. After payment, the kit opens on that book.
- From the Launch Kit page. Buy on /launch-kit. After payment, the kit waits on that page. Pick its book under You have a kit to use.
A kit stays with its book for good. You cannot move it to another book. To launch another book, buy another kit.
If you open a book that has no kit, while you hold a kit you have not used, the page asks Use your Launch Kit on this book? Select Use my Launch Kit here to open it, or Not this book to go back.
The item reads Build your Launch Kit when you hold a kit you have not used, and Open your Launch Kit on a book that has its kit.
The /launch-kit page lists your kits under Open a kit. Select a book to open its kit.
Your account dashboard also has a Launch Kits tab. Select Open Launch Kit → on a book to open its kit, or New Launch Kit to buy another kit. When you hold a kit you have not used, the tab says You have an unredeemed Launch Kit — pick its book →.
The kit page
The kit page is the same page as the marketing kit, in its author version. A side menu shows four setup steps, then the finished kit. The marketing kit guide describes each step in full.
- Book & cover. Check the cover the kit builds from. By default it is the book's newest favourite cover. Select Change cover to pick another one. The book's series shows here, but you cannot change it on this page. See Step 1: Book & cover.
- Launch notes. Paste your launch notes: a newsletter draft, a listing or an email all work. Select Read my notes, then check the fields: the tagline, the dates, the price, the buy link, quotes and the two calls to action (Preorder call to action and Launch-day call to action). Reading is free. See Step 2: Launch notes.
- Brand kit. Check the palette and the fonts. The kit reads the palette from your cover. The fonts come from your cover when its text was already read, or when you tick Also detect the cover's fonts (1 credit, once per cover). Otherwise they come from the book's genre. Add mood words and a logo. Under Applies to, pick This book, This series or All my books, then select Save. See Step 3: Brand kit.
- Review & generate. Check the lines the kit puts on your images and the list of things to fix. Then select Generate kit. You can leave the page while the kit builds. See Step 4: Review & generate.
The finished kit has Images, Copy docs and Formats. Download .zip downloads the whole kit, one folder per channel. See Images, Copy docs and Export the kit.
Regenerations and credits
- The first run on the book is included. That is the first run of any kind: a tile's Generate or a copy document's Write again also uses it, and then makes only that part. Start with Generate kit to get the full kit from it.
- After it, the kit includes 35 regenerations, once. They do not renew each month.
- More like this on one image uses one regeneration. On a selection, it uses one per image. Running Generate kit again uses one per image.
- Copy documents use no regenerations and no credits.
- When the 35 regenerations are used, each image costs 1 credit from your own credits. The page asks before it charges.
- If an image paid in credits fails to render, the credit is refunded.
The More like this box in the side menu shows how many regenerations are left.
Included formats
In Formats, the kit includes one print wrap render, one audiobook cover and one text-free cover, once each. After you use one, that format costs its usual credits.
What is Enterprise only
These belong to the Enterprise plans (Starter, Growth and Scale), not to the Launch Kit:
- Client review links.
- Clients, and exporting every kit of a client.
- Seats and roles.
- White label.
- The asset composer (Create asset manually).
- The API and the MCP server.
- Monthly credits and monthly marketing kits.
The Starter plan offer
The Launch Kit is for your own books and pen names. When your account buys its third kit in 30 days, or your kits cover three author names, the kit page shows the Starter plan offer. The /launch-kit page shows it one kit earlier: when your next kit would be the third in 30 days. The Starter plan includes 5 marketing kits a month, client review links and 150 credits. Select See the Starter plan to compare. The offer is a suggestion: your kits keep working.
On an Enterprise plan
Enterprise plans do not include the Launch Kit, and you cannot buy one on them. Use the marketing kit for every launch. Open your account dashboard and select Marketing kit under a book. If you open the Launch Kit page on an Enterprise plan, its button takes you to your dashboard.
Kits bought before October 16, 2026
The Launch Kit moved to this engine on October 16, 2026. If you bought a kit before that date:
- Your book got the new kit at no cost.
- The old Launch Kit files stay on the book. To find them, open Marketing resources from the cover's More menu and look under Previously Generated.
- The 35 credits that came with the old kit stay too. They pay for that book's marketing resources. See Marketing resources.
The new kit does not include some parts of the old one:
- The 14 scene mockups. The new kit has 3 AI mockups.
- The promo video. You can still make one from a cover's More menu, under Marketing resources, paid in credits. See Marketing resources.
- The style presets and in-place previews of the old kit page.
- The launch checklist. It stays a free tool: the Book launch checklist.
Relationship to the marketing tools
On Pro, you can also make single marketing images (mockups, ad images, a promo video) from any cover's More menu, paid per image. See Marketing resources. The Launch Kit is the full launch for one book, from one set of launch notes and one brand kit.
