What a client is
A client is a folder for one author, imprint or publisher you work for. It holds the books you make covers for, the logo and notes you keep about them, and — as the agency tools grow — the brand kit and the marketing assets built from their covers.
Clients are part of the Enterprise plans. If your account has no Enterprise subscription, your dashboard works exactly as before and no client controls appear.
Create a client
- Open /enterprise-dashboard.
- Find the Clients panel.
- Type the client name, add a note if you want one, and select Add client.
The client appears in the list straight away. Each client gets a short name-based tag (its slug) shown under the name. That tag names the folders inside your export files, so keep the client name short and recognisable.
Two clients with the same name get different tags: the second one gets a number added.
Add a logo
- Find the client in the list.
- Select Add logo (or Replace logo if it already has one).
- Pick a PNG, JPG or WebP file of 2 MB or less.
The logo appears next to the client name. It is checked automatically before it is saved.
File a book under a client
- Open /account-dashboard.
- Find the book on your shelf.
- Use the dropdown under the book cover and pick the client.
Pick Unassigned to take a book out of a client again. A book belongs to one client at a time.
Your whole team shares one shelf, so an admin or editor can file a teammate's book. Reviewers cannot: the control does not appear for them.
Filter your shelf by client
Once you have clients with books, a row of buttons appears above your shelf:
- All — every book on the tab.
- One button per client that has books on that tab.
- Unassigned — the books with no client yet.
Each button shows how many books it holds. The counts do not change when you pick one, so you can always see where the rest of your books are.
Rename or archive a client
Select Rename to change the name. The client tag changes with it, so new export files use the new name. Files you already downloaded keep their old names.
Select Archive when you finish working with a client. An archived client:
- Disappears from the Clients list until you turn on Show archived.
- Cannot be picked for a book any more.
- Keeps every book already filed under it, with its name still on the shelf filter.
A client is never deleted, so its books and past work keep their history. Select Restore on an archived client to bring it back.
